If you make your way to New York City be sure to stop by Gramercy Tavern for a fancy dinner in the dining room or a casual meal in their tavern. The appetizers at the tavern are amazing and they have had a constant string of delicious treats but the one that stands out as the all time winner is their cheese stuffed kielbasa.
We took a few runs at trying to make our own kielbasa but it proved to be impossible or well beyond our patience and skillset. So we made our own version that can fill the buffet table for the holiday party season.
Ingredients
- 1 large smoked kielbasa, do not by the grocery store version, go to your butcher and get a homemade kielbasa, sliced diagonally about 1/4 inch thick
- Spicy Cheddar Cheese Sauce
Making It
- Make the cheese sauce and set aside
- Put a skillet over a medium flame and sear the kielbasa slices, put out on a board with a bowl of the cheese sauce
