We decided to kick-off Memorial Day weekend with some simple herbed chicken burgers that are full of flavor and very easy to make.  This serves 5 people.

Ingredients for the 🐔  Burger

  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons of Chimichurri Rub, or dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup parmasean cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/2 cup chopped basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup dill, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped finely
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 extra large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper flakes
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Dill pickle chips
  • Mini hamburger buns

Ingredients for the Sauce

  • 1 cup of cilantro (if you do not like cilantro do a 1/2 cup of chopped basil and 1/4 cup chopped dill)
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 cup of crumbled feta
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard

Making It

  • Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl with a fork and then build 5  patties
  • Turn your gas grill to high after you brush the cooking area with vegetable oil
  • Cook the burgers 4-5 minutes each side
  • Toast the buns on the grill, be careful they cook quickly
  • For the sauce put the garlic and cilantro in the food processor that has been fitted with a metal blade.  Pulse 8 times then add all the other ingredients and pulse until fully incorporated
  • Put the lettuce on the bun, then place the burger, then the sauce and pickle, top it with the bun
