We decided to kick-off Memorial Day weekend with some simple herbed chicken burgers that are full of flavor and very easy to make. This serves 5 people.
Ingredients for the 🐔 Burger
- 2 pounds ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons of Chimichurri Rub, or dried oregano
- 1/2 cup parmasean cheese, freshly grated
- 1/2 cup chopped basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup dill, chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, chopped finely
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 extra large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper flakes
- Iceberg lettuce
- Dill pickle chips
- Mini hamburger buns
Ingredients for the Sauce
- 1 cup of cilantro (if you do not like cilantro do a 1/2 cup of chopped basil and 1/4 cup chopped dill)
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 cup of crumbled feta
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
Making It
- Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl with a fork and then build 5 patties
- Turn your gas grill to high after you brush the cooking area with vegetable oil
- Cook the burgers 4-5 minutes each side
- Toast the buns on the grill, be careful they cook quickly
- For the sauce put the garlic and cilantro in the food processor that has been fitted with a metal blade. Pulse 8 times then add all the other ingredients and pulse until fully incorporated
- Put the lettuce on the bun, then place the burger, then the sauce and pickle, top it with the bun
