This is a core recipe for so many meals and dishes. Β It is simple and creates juicy and flavorful white meat to be used in soups, stews, salads and hundreds of other recipes.
Ingredients
- Whole split chicken breasts with skin on
- Fresh thyme, chopped
- Olive oil
- Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper
Making It
- Set the oven to 425 degrees
- Place the chicken on a half baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Drizzle olive oil on the chicken then liberally salt and pepper them
- Put a 1/2 teaspoon of thyme on each breast
- Place in over and resent the temperature to 350 degrees
- Cook for 45 +/- minutes, depends on the size of the breast (you want the inside temperature to be 165 degrees)
- Remove from oven
