We were about to have a Holiday Party and R.S.V.P. list was getting out of hand, so we had to call a caterer to come help out. When I said caramelized bacon had to be served, the careering company manager, Jen, pushed back and suggested people were looking for lighter and healthier fare. I rejected the notion and ordered up the bacon that was quickly consumed by everyone at the party.
Ingredients
- Thickly-cut bacon from your butcher, and much as you need
- Light brown sugar
Making it
- Place the bacon on rimmed baking sheets lined with either tinfoil or parchment paper
- Rub the light brown sugar on all the bacon
Time to Cook
- Set the oven to 400 degrees and when it reaches the desired temperature put the bacon in the oven and cook for 16 to 20 minutes
- If you have more than one baking sheet, rotate the sheets half way through cooking
- Let cool and serve
